Boston home of some of the nation’s
greatest athletes, all these Bostonian players have dedicated there time,
effort and strength to become and achieve every young athletes dream. Two time superbowl
MVP Tom Brady will go down in history and will forever hold that luck #12 on
his back for years to come. 6ft 9in, 225 pound defensive player Zdeno Chara preservers
in every hockey game, no matter what the risk. Everyone’s daddy “Big Papi”
David Ortiz never backs down from any game. Lastly but certainly not least
three time NBA championship winner Larry Bird leaves a mark on Boston history
for a life time. All of these players have taught there fans all something different.
Implying that these great athletes would have the honor of being created in our
own city’s Mt. Bostonmore, these players have acknowledged all different type of
morals to help influence the athletic life’s of children.
Thomas Edward Patrick Brady Jr. was
drafted in 2000 by the New England Patriots; he is a living legendary quarterback
that will one day be put in the hall of fame. Mr. Brady deserves a spot on our
Mt. Bostonmore for the ambition he continually portrays. No matter what the score may say he never
wants to leave the field thinking he could have achieved more, he leaves his
heart on the field and his head in the game. Mr. Brady entitles the honor of
the “underdog”, when he first started he was an ambitious rookie hoping to make
his day view and show all of his New Englanders his ability on the field. In
2001 he made his day view with arch rival Payton Manning and surprised all the
odds. Overall he preservers through all the mayhem and influences his fans to never
underestimate yourself.
Our Slovakian captain of the Boston
Bruins, Zdeno Chara is the most dedicated player on the ice. Our #33 never
backs down from a fight, literally. The amount of perseverance he conveys is inapplicable
to any other hockey player. His
determination is never tolerated no matter how much time is left on the clock
and what the score may say. Mr. Chara utilizes his gift of being a fighter, and
always wanting to preserver to the end no matter what the risk.
Everyone’s Daddy “Big Papi” David
Ortiz is a hitter and a first baseman for the Boston Red Sox. Mr. Ortiz was
born in the Dominican Republic. Each time Mr. Ortiz crosses the plate after hitting
a home run; he looks up and points both index fingers to the sky in tribute to
his mother Angela Rose Arias, who died in a car crash in January 2002 at the age
of 46. Big Papi always stays humble and acknowledges his roots. He does not
forget all the people who have helped him fulfill his dream and make him the
player he is today.
Last
but certainly not least, the 6ft 220 pound Larry Bird was a Boston Celtic and a
three time NBA champion. Mr. Bird had earned a total of 27,791 points from
1979-1992. Not only did he accomplish these milestones but the forward, sometimes called "The Great
White Hope", was considered one the greatest shooters ever. Despite some of his injuries he was played on the
legendary American "Dream Team" at the Barcelona Olympics. Mr. Bird's
playing time was limited; the Americans easily took the gold. Following the
Olympics, Mr. Bird retired from the sport, going on in the assistant coach with
the Boston Celtics. Mr. Bird was named
Coach of the Year in 1998. Than later in his life he became President of
Basketball Operations for the Pacers. Larry Bird has acknowledged his fans to
utilize all opportunities that come in your way and to fulfill all accomplishment
s with pride.
Tom
Brady: always influencing his fans to be the underdog of the pact. Zdeno Chara:
to always be a fighter in what you believe
in. David Ortiz: Always stay true to who you really are. Larry Bird: always
utilize all opportunities that you may come across. Mix these four ingredients
up and you have a perfect Mt. Bostonmore.
